Busy Weekend for the Atom AE's
The Atom AE Oilers played three games this weekend, coming away with 2 wins and a tie.

First up on Friday night, the Oilers headed to St. Thomas to take on the Stars and skated away with a 8-2 victory.

Saturday, the Oilers travelled back up the 402, this time to face off against the St. Mary's Rock.  Justin Oliver opened up the scoring in the 1st period for Petrolia, assisted by Ethan Marks and Colin Whiting, with Marks and Baylee Morrison adding to the score in the 2nd period, assisted by Logan Harding and Oliver.  St Mary's came back in the 3rd period with a goal of their own to end Ryan Oliver's chance at a shut out, but the Oilers weren't finished yet as Brady Melton added a fourth goal off of Oliver and Jayden Park for a 4-1 final.

This was a big win for the Atom AE Oilers as they were tied for 1st place in the league standings with the Rock.

By Sunday, the weekend seemed to take its toll on the Oilers as they struggled to keep up with the Dorchester Dragons.  The Dragons went ahead with 2 goals in the first period.  Morrison scored first for the Oilers in the 2nd period off Harding to get the boys started and Oliver and Harding took advantage of Dragon penalties in the 3rd period to move the Oilers ahead 3-2.  Assists by Marks, Oliver and Rawson Donald.  But the Dragons immediately came back with another goal of their own to end the game in a 3-3 tie.  In net for the Oilers was Wyatt Currie.

Get lots of rest this week boys, before heading off to Exeter for Silverstick next weekend.  Go Oilers!!!
