The Oilers changed up the lineup on this game and it seemed to work in every way.  Defencemen Bell and Hackett played centre while Mayhead and Scarrow played D.  This actually worked very well as the overall team speed could not be matched by the Eagles.  It also made the kids rethink about positional play and it was very rare the Eagles got any type of pressure around the Oilers net.  Kuipers got another shutout with less than 10 shots.  This was a one sided game and the boys had some fun winning the C Final.

Next weekend the Oilers are off to London to play in an Alliance tournament with MD teams from Cambridge, Brampton, Hamilton, Kent, and London.  This should be a test to this team determination to compete and get them prepared for the OMHA playdowns.

The Oilers have one practice Thursday Jan 5th to prepare for this tournament.  Lets all come ready to work and get ready for the London tournament.
