Schedule & Results, Bantam AE, U15, 2011-2012 (Petrolia Minor Hockey)

The Rockets came flying into Petrolia for another hard fought matchup with the Oilers.  The Rockets are currently the 2nd place team in the Shamrock AE league.  These 2 teams have faced each other twice already this season, once in the St. Marys tournament with Strathroy winning 2-0 before going on to win the tournament, and the second time in Strathroy with a late goal in the 3rd period to win 1-0.

The Oilers came out with a huge effort in the first period dominating a good portion of the period.  The Rockets started to get stronger in the final 2 minutes of the period but there was no scoring in the 1st frame.

The second period Strathroy controlled a good portion of the time spending a large amount of time in the Oilers end of the ice.  The Rockets scored with 2 minutes remaining in the second.

The Oilers found some energy during the break and came out and played a excellent 3rd period.  Petrolia had numerous chances to tie the game up but could not find the answer this particular night.

The game ended 1-0.  A very good game overall that will carry over into the Dorchester game on Friday night.  Great work guys.  Lets beat the Dragons when they roll into town.
