Schedule & Results, Bantam AE, U15, 2011-2012 (Petrolia Minor Hockey)

Petrolia travelled to the Dragons' Den in Dorchester to take on a team that was 2-1-1 for the season.  The Oilers wanted to focus on getting the puck deep into the Dragons zone and forchecking.  They also wanted to focus on puck support, backchecking and making good decisions with the puck.

The 1st period saw no scoring but the Oilers dominated the play with the majority of time spent in the offensive zone.  The 2nd period saw a change in momentum with the Dragons getting numerous scoring chances but the Oilers managed to keep the scoreboard empty going into the 3rd.

The 3rd period was one of the best performances of the season by this Oiler team with many scoring chances, excellent puck support and very good backchequing.  The Dragons got into some penalty problems with 2 men in the box twice duing the period.  The Oilers did capitalize with 2 nice goals after a lot of hard work.

Great job to everyone including Matt Kuipers with a shutout.  The Oilers played a aggressive style of hockey but only took one minor penalty.
