Atom AE, U11, 2011-2012 (Petrolia Minor Hockey)

Well played series against Wallaceburg in round 1!!  The coaching staff is very proud of this group...keep up the good work team.  Your hard work and heart is amazing.  We are prepared for Round 2.  We face Mt Brydges next!! Keep playing the way you can and the sky is the limit!

The Petrolia Atom AE team is currently listed as the first place team in the Shamrock League headed into the Christmas Break, with 33 pts (15-3-3).  This is a great reward and compliment for our players' hardwork and dedication as they head into a much deserved rest over Christmas.  This team continues to respond to challenges brought on by the opposition and the coaches' expectations.  As the season has progressed the expectations continue to rise because these players consistently answer the call, while having a blast!!

Petrolia Atom AE had a strong showing at this year's Regional Silver Stick.  The Atom AE team was in Pool B with Strathroy, Tillsonburg and Ayr. The team came out strong and put together a solid showing against Tillsonburg.  The kids were able to handle the pressure of their first game in a high stakes tournament and maintain their composure focusing on one game at a time throughout the weekend.

The names of players that have been chosen to continue into the second round of the Atom AE selection process are listed below.  These players have been invited to play in the exhibition game on Sunday at 3 pm vs Sarnia Sting MD in Petrolia.  Players are expected to be in the dressing room no later than 2:15.

We have just completed our first tryout and the young athletes showed the coaching staff a great deal of hard work and determination throughout the skate.  There are three outside assessors who do not have a child trying out for the team who are helping the coaching staff with the selection process.  We thank those volunteers for their time.  Our next tryout will be 5:30 - 6:50 pm on Friday Sept 23rd in Watford.
