As we head into spring programming, PMHA would like to share some important updates so families know what to expect in the coming weeks.
With U9 and U10 tryouts now moving to the spring under updated OHF and OMHA timelines, PMHA is required to follow this earlier tryout window. To ensure each age group receives their 4 required pre-skates before tryouts, some pre-skates must take place in March.
Our goal is to make sure players are not off the ice for extended periods as we move through pre-skates and the tryout process. All programming will continue to follow OHF / OMHA rules and guidelines, while also staying aligned with surrounding centres operating on similar timelines.
Team Structure – 2026/2027 Season
U9 will roster one MD team
U10, and U11 will each roster one B team
U13, U15, and U18 will continue with a B1 / B2 structure, based on registration numbers
Player Movement
Open borders remain in place
The number of outside players permitted will depend on each age group and registration numbers needed to fill teams PMHA has applied for

Pre-skates will require sign-up through your Spordle account using the registration link provided below register for the team your child will be going into 2026/2027 not their current year:

Registration is required to participate in any pre-skates, free of charge
Only players who were registered with PMHA in 2025/2026 are permitted to attended pre-skates, those trying out from other centres are to complete preskates with their perspective centre
Tryout registration will be posted at a later date, after April 1
A separate registration link will be required for tryouts
All tryouts will be $100 per player
We are sharing this information now to help families plan ahead and stay informed as registration opens and ice times are finalized. With the addition of U9 and U10 spring tryouts, there may be a need to secure additional ice this spring, and we want to ensure that comes as no surprise.
Please note:
Any additional ice times listed outside of Pre-Skates 1–4 are PMHA-booked ice being held for tryouts as we begin to build the tryout schedule.
Players should only attend their specific age group pre-skates labeled 1–4.
