In the final game of our opening round robin we needed a win to establish home ice advantage.
Game in Wallaceburg, the play went back and forth until Dyaln took the matter into his own hands. He waltzed right in stickhandling, thru the whole team (and parts of ours) and backhanded one over their goalie. Then Wallaceburg scored and we put the pressure on. Isaac scored from Connor and Zach. Haydn scored on a pass from Jack Hackett. Finally in the third with the play getting really chippy Krallsy scored again on a pass from P Ferg. I thought Jakob Friesen scored but it was such a scramble in front of their net. Well none the less we move on.
We were able to observe some antics following the game between Wallaceburg coaching staff and the Referees. Tempers flared quickly and one coach showed up outside of the referees dressing room. All this started after a Wallaceburg player fired the puck down the ice? A linesman ended up getting hit hard a few Wallaceburg kids laughed and he fired the puck into their bench and some language and a brouhaha ensued. You know for three $ admission it kind of compares to Netflix. Even a Leaf win couldn't top that.
All in all we move on!
