Hi Everyone,
FORWARD SKILS is a unique hockey program (for boys and girls) to focus on the specific skills
that are required to play Forward in hockey. This program is designed to increase knowledge
and skill development through drills, power skating, and classroom sessions.
The skill areas that will be taught include:
• Major focus on power skating
• Basic skill development (passing, shooting, & puck handling
• Unique concepts/ideas to help these young athletes feel more confident about their
individual abilities playing forward (eg. Scoring techniques, cycle habits, changing
the shot angle, picking up puck off the board, crossovers, puck handling,
understanding how to create time and space, pass reception, and more)
The clinic will be delivered by local coach Derek Di Muzio. Derek's coaching resume includes
being both a Head and Assistant Coach at the Junior level for over 13 years. Derek has won
numerous coaching awards, and has a proven track record for developing local talent and
helping them move to higher levels of hockey (e.g. OHL, NCAA, AHL, NHL). He has been an
Assistant Coach with the Ontario Hockey League’s Sarnia Sting in the past and his focus area
was on skill development. He has helped many Defenseman currently playing in the NHL
develop their skills (e.g. Jakob Chychrun, Anthony DeAngelo,TJ Brodie, Dalton Prout).
Open to Age Groups: U11 to U18
Ice Time: 4 – 5:30pm
Cost: $30.00 per player.

e-transferred to the PMHA Treasurer David Hogan @ [email protected]. When e-
transferring the funds please ensure to use the password Hockey2023. Also make sure to
include your players full name & DDFC (eg. John Doe – DDFC) in the comment section so we
know who the payment is for.
Note: Spaces for each camp will be limited to 24 skaters to ensure maximum teaching time,
skill development, and adequate repetitions for each drill and ensure good practice/training to
game transfer
