A handful of items for you

Here are a number of notes to pass along. I'm not sure if we have taken a turn as Volunteer of the Week for the food bank. If not, it would be appreciated if one of our parents could organize a one-week food drive as outlined on the arena lobby's message board. Please contact me if you have any questions or need contact info.

As well, we need to organize a group to select one door in the arena and decorate it for the Hockeyville campaign (no, we can't glue KD noodles to the door or paint it with Kraft jam and peanut butter). Read below for more info:

Hi everyone,
FOOD DRIVE
Any teams that have already donated items and their number of items collected IS NOT on the bulletin board in the lobby, please text me your final tally of how much your team donated. I would like to do a complete tally of items collected today by tomorrow (Thursday).

Also, any teams that have not volunteered to collect food as a team (for the Petrolia food bank) Please let me know if you would like to take a week between now and mid March. OR if any teams would like to do a second week of donations- just let me know!

**ALSO- PLEASE SEND ME PICTURES OF YOUR TEAM donating food if you have them:)

Dear PMHA Parents, Coaches and Players:

IMPORTANT - 2016 KRAFT Hockeyville is Gearing Up!

We need your to help support Petrolia’s bid for the Kraft Hockeyville Contest. We are competing with centre’s from across Canada. By Friday, March 4th we need to display as much hockey pride and enthusiasm as we can by organizing activities, taking pictures and having fun showing hometown hockey pride!

Arena Door Decorating Contest – Friday, Feb. 26 and Sat. Feb. 27 (will remain up as long as we are still in the contest – hopefully the end of March)

Could each team pick a door within the arena (first come first serve basis) and decorate it, showing off your hockey team and hockey pride?

Take pictures of your creations and facebook, tweet or instagram your master piece with a short message stating: ________ team supports #khv_petrolia2016 for #krafthockeyville2016 @Town of Petrolia @hockeyville. You should too!

Please “like”, “share”, “retweet” as many khv Petrolia 2016 pics as possible between now and March 5th!

Prizes for the most creative and colourful door displaying “Kraft Hockeyville” pride and enthusiasm!

Saturday, Feb. 27th – Hockey Spirit Day!

Come to the arena with food to “fill the net”, take a tweet infront of the net and receive a ballot for a large Kraft Product Gift Basket (for the parents) and a Kraft treat (for the kids)!

Saturday, Feb. 27th – PMHA Large Group Picture -11:30 am

All teams (girls and boys, all ages) are welcome to come to the arena for a large association picture to show our support for the Kraft Hockeyville Bid. Everyone is welcome to join the “Tim Bits” at the end of their skate for a large group picture. We need to be off the ice by 11:40 for a Novice Girls game (they can join in too).

Stay tuned for info on the “Oilers Pit Stop” Lunch next week for the high school students!
