OILERS START SEASON WITH 2 WINS!!!
The Oilers opened the season against the Southwest Bullets. With all cylinders running the Oilers came out flying with 12 goals in a 12-2 win. Pheonix Timmington and Gavin Carron led the attack with a hat trick each.
On Sunday the Oilers hit the road to Mooretown. In a very intense physical game the Oilers jumped out to a 1-0 lead no sooner to see the Flags tie it up. Second period seen Carter Helps take over popping in 2 goals. The Flags wouldn't give up making the third period the best hockey of the season so far with the Flags cutting the lead to 3-2. Carter Helps then popped his 3rd goal of the game. Again the Flags came back late but the Oilers iced it with an empty net goal to take a 5-3 win. Great job goalies and players!!!!!
