Express Steam Rolls Oilers in 7-1 Defeat
The Oilers came out strong and lead 1-0 after one period of play but in a 3 minute span of the second period went from carrying the play top watching the play and quickly went down 4-1 and struggled to mount any source of pressure.
Scoring for the Oilers was Andrew Jaques assisted from Owen Stokes.
Kento Gudz started in goal for the Oilers but was chased in the second. Noah Bright came in relief of Gudz and finished the game.
Jaques was selected as Game MVP in his return to game action from a hand injury.
A rematch against Ingersoll will occur today at 11:10am in Alvinston. The Oilers must bring their skating legs and be ready to move the puck as a team to have any success against the fast, smooth skating Express. It has been done before and can be done again...time will tell if the Oilers can be David and take down Goliath.
Let's Go Oilers. You Can do this.
