Mason Berube Tournament
The Peewee TRI-County team received ' GOLD ' after this weekends play in Dresden in the Mason Berube Tournament. This tourny was in memory of a 13 year old Mason Berube who loved this game and pasted away in a tragic accident in March 2009 coming home from a London Knights game.
The Boys fought hard but Blenheim handed us our first lost in our very first game. We played Dresden twice and figured out our short comings only to beat them and off to the final on Sunday at 3:00 sitting in 2nd place. The boys came out pumped putting in the first one then another and another only then to give up a few. The game ended in a tie only to go to a 4 on 4 overtime for a duration of 2:00 mins. We finally put one in the back of the net with the clock at 1:54 to seal Blenheim fate and relieve the PMHA fans so they could breath again. Wow talk about leaving things to the last minute.
Congrads boys you truly earned that 5-4 WIN for GOLD !! Thanks to Scott Kelvin for his position work with the boys, Pete Lefebure for his expertise on the bench and an awesome bench staff who at times were a little stressed. Way to go boys you will remember this one for awhile. !!!!
Thanks Dresden we had a great time see you next year at the Mason Berube Tournament to defend our title.
