OILERS Advance to Motown Finals with Win Over Chicago
The Novice Oilers advanced to the Motown Cup Final with an impressive Offensive outburst against a scrappy Chicago Sabres Team.  Trailing 1-0 til the final minute of the period the Oilers were searching for their skating legs and after a couple posts and a tap in, they seemed to find their legs and started skating and playing the way they can.

Shane Knight got the Oilers on the board first after Jace McGrail and Noel Sanderson took turns hitting the post and  Knight found the loose puck and jammed it home to tie the game at one with 40 seconds remaining in the period.  Chicago would answer back 8sec later on a rather comical giveaway that ended up in our net and the Oilers down 2-1 at the break.

After some stern instructions to get the lead out during intermission the Oilers exploded for 7 unanaswered goals to take a commanding 8-2 lead and dominated the remainder of the game.  Goals in the second period came from Jace McGrail with 3, William Hull with 2, Nathan Perry and Zach Wilson with singles.  Assists on the remaining 7 goals went to; Sanderson,McGrail, Mailloux, King, Timmington, Crummy(2), Douglas (2), and  Hull.

Kento Gudz was solid in net for the victory.

The Oilers skated hard for the second and third periods but know they need to work hard all three periods to have a chance against Essex.

Jace McGrail and Will Hull were selected as Hersey's Players of the Game by Candy Man Trainer Arty.

The Oilers once again played a penalty free game.
