Second Round of Playoffs vs Zorra Fusion
The Oilers travelled to Embro for the opening game of the series to play Zorra Fusion.

Zorra opened the scoring mid-way in the first period with a short handed goal.

Shortly after, when Zorra had two players in the penalty box for over a minute, Petrolia was unable to score.  With three minutes remaining in the first period, Jen Minten came down the left side and scored over the goalie's shoulder.  Game tied 1-1 after the first period.

Petrolia took advantage of a power play in the second period to take the lead.  Kelsey Dobbin passed to Amanda Brennan, then to Erica Lochner, who shot from the top of the circle and scored in the top shelf.  With play going back and forth for the second period, Zorra had an opportunity to score with the shot going wide on the open net.

The third period was very exciting and a real nail biter with the Oilers having to kill off four penalties in the fifteen minutes.  Petrolia scored their third and final goal at 9:12 on their only power play of the period on a shot from Erica at the blue line, nicely deflected by Kristin Vokes.  The third penalty of the period for Petrolia was called with 3:08 remaining and the fourth penalty at 2:38.  With the Oilers short-handed by two players, Zorra pulled their goalie to play 6 on 3.  With excellent defensive plays and close calls, Petrolia was able to hold Zorra off for a full minute before they scored.  After the Zorra goal and their goalie still pulled, Petrolia was still playing short-handed, 6 on 4, until the final 30 seconds.   P-town shut the door and came out with the a 3-2 win.
