COACHES CORNER-PLAYERS OF THE GAMES!
This weekends' games were filled with sickness, injuries and AP players! Saturday the Peewee Oilers visited Wallaceburg and came away with a 6-3 win, while Monday night put them on the road again in Mount Brydes, winning 2-0 with a penalty filled game!
PLAYER OF THE GAME VS WALLACEBURG LAKERS WAS JOSH JAMIESON! Josh stepped up his game by skating hard on the wing and getting his nose dirty in the corners and in front of the net. These efforts were rewarded with a goal and an assist and several quality chances to bury the puck during this game. Keep up these efforts moving forward to Silverstick and OMHA playdowns.
PLAYERS OF THE GAME VS MOUNT BRYDGES COUGARS WAS THE WHOLE TEAM!! Too many good things on the ice to only pick one player-coaching staff emphasized that team play such as this night would carry this team a long way against ANY opponent! Communication, out-working their opponents, desire for the puck, and patience all played a key role in this victory. The growth and development of players attitudes and commitment to this team are becoming more evident and lay the foundation for additional success.
