COACHES CORNER-PLAYERS OF THE GAMES
Saturday the Peewee Oilers Rep hosted the East Lambton Eagles, winning 3-0. Sunday night, the Oilers had a late night tilt with the Lucan Irish, that ended in a 3-3 draw.
PLAYER OF THE GAME VS. EAST LAMBTON WAS DUNCAN CORE! Duncan led the team with great plays out of the defensive end and some solid passing through the neutral zone. He was also rewarded with a goal on a bad line change by the Eagles. Duncan listened to the coaching staff and demonstrated a leadership role throughout the game. Over the last few games, the whole team has been showing more team play strategies which allows the team to progress in a positive manner.
PLAYER OF THE GAME VS LUCAN WAS COLE DOIG! With a penalty filled game, the only goals Lucan could get by Cole were on the powerplay, with the final goal resulting from a 5 on 3. He showed good positioning and patience in the net. He also played the puck twice which had he not, could have resulted in semi-breakaways with the final play having him skate to almost the blue line and play the puck to the boards to clear the zone.
