Novice Girls, U9, 2012-2013 (Petrolia Minor Hockey)

This is just a reminder that the game against Sarnia on Thursday, February 7th is at the Sarnia Arena (Brock St.).....not the RBC arena.  The game time is the same as previously indicated (5:30 pm).  Let's go Oilers!!!

This is just a reminder that the Novice Girls hockey team will be going to London on Sunday, January 27th to watch U of T vs Western Women's hockey.  Game time is 4:00 and the girls will have a chance to meet some of the players at 2:00.  Stay tuned for more details.

Congratulations to the Petrolia Novice Girls for winning the "Pink on the Rink" tournament in South Huron!!!  The Petrolia girls started out hot on Friday by beating South Huron 4-3 and Ilderton 5-3.  On Saturday the Petrolia girls tied Lambeth 3-3 and lost to the BAD girls 3-0.  The Petrolia girls would get a chance to face the BAD girls again in the finals on Sunday as the top two teams advanced. Over the past weekend (October 19-21), the Novice Girls team competed in the Mitchell hockey tournament.  The girls went undefeated in round robin play as they beat South Huron 5-1, Seaforth 4-2 and Mitchell 10-0.  The girls played in the tournament final on Sunday against Seaforth.  It was an exciting back and forth battle as the two teams exchanged goals, until Petrolia took a two goal lead late in the third period.  The girls held on to win the championship by a score of 6-4.  Congratulations to the Novice Girls hockey team on a great weekend!!
