THANK YOU to PMHA & Petrolia Silver Stick Volunteers
On behalf of the Petrolia Silver Stick Committee, I would like to thank all the volunteers, referees, players, coaches, arena staff, Town of Petrolia and Lambton Public Health for working so hard to get the tournament completed during the most difficult of times.
Adapting to volunteer, game and ice schedules at the drop of a hat with no complaints made our job a bit easier. I would be remiss if I did not thank the Silver Stick Committee (many of whom have no children in minor hockey) that worked tirelessly to ensure the tournament was run with the safety of all attending as the main priority.
As mentioned from the outset, we do realize and respect that everyone is at a different place with the pandemic. We believe that the end result, a tournament done the right way while adhering to all safety requirements and protocols in place while providing a much-needed avenue for all the players coaches and family to get back to a different sense of normalcy (even if for only 4 days) could be done. You all had a role to play.
Please stay tuned for details for our on-line auction in lieu of the traditional Silver Stick Raffle we were not able run this year.
Thank you and Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Nick Salaris
