The PMHA family recently lost one of its founding fathers in Bill Field. Bill was the epitome of civic duty, volunteering with minor hockey and baseball as well as acting as a member of the Optimists for years. He was a large part of getting our arena
built, acted as President of PMHA as well as being a founding member of the Petrolia Silver Stick tournament.
Bill was recognized through the years by the Lambton County Sports Hall of Fame, winning the Bud Morrison Award as well as by PMHA as “Mr. Hockey”. For those who knew him, he was more concerned about helping others than gaining accolades. He was a great member of our community, but an even better person. His positive attitude and personality will be missed by all.
PMHA owes Bill a debt of gratitude and we send our thoughts and condolences to Bill’s family and friends during this difficult time.
