Pee Wee AE's Advance in OMHA's!
Submitted By cboyd on Monday, February 11, 2013
The Pee Wee AE's beat Strathroy on Saturday 6-1 to advance to the OMHA quarter finals against Dorchester.  The Novices are the only other Oiler team still playing in OMHA's.  The Novices only play the west side of OMHAs, therefore are already in the quarter finals, playing a home and home series with all eligible BB centres in our area.  Come out and support our only 2 teams still in OMHAs!

All other boys teams will continue in Shamrock League Playoffs!  The scheduling meeting is this evening.  Stay tuned for game updates and practice changes tomorrow.  The girls teams are in league playoffs and Provincial playdowns at the same time.

The Novice boys were allowed to do OMHAs and league playoffs at the same time (since only 1/2 side OMHAs). Therefore, game ice time will be at a premium. It will difficult to get all of these (3 or 5 game) series in by the deadlines to move onto the next rounds. Practice times will have to be given up or you may be requested to give up a slotted time. The ice is PMHA ice (rented from the town - not your team ice) and the ice scheduler will adjust accordingly to fit everything in by the deadlines. Please be understanding at this difficult time, as we work with limited hours at prime game times! Reminder: Looking for all interested parties to apply for the ice scheduler job for next year!  This is a perfect time to job shadow Jeff and see the big picture of the job.  This will allow the successful candidate to do a great job next year!  Please contact Nick, Chris or Jeff with any interest or questions about the job description.
