Reminder: "Coaches Evaluation Forms" (in the library or emailed to you by your coaching staff) are due to your Hockey Mom by next Saturday, March 5th!

Resolutions: Are suggestions or changes to bring forth to the executive to seriously consider over the next year. They can be submitted up to the time they will be discussed on the agenda, the night of the AGM (towards the end of the meeting).
PROPOSED RESOLUTIONS
PMHA Annual General Meeting 2011
Resolution #1
WHEREAS: The Petrolia Minor Hockey Association has traditionally carried a unisex clothing line, of wind suits, hats and traditional male styled accessories, and
WHEREAS: the PMHA has grown to include almost one third of its membership as young females (99 girls in the system, of just over 300 total registered - approx.), and
WHEREAS: there are 6 travel girls teams and 12 travel boys/mixed teams. Hense, girls comprise one third of all travel teams, and
WHEREAS: there are 7 beginner, tyke and novice house league teams at the introductory level with girls showing an interest in the sport of hockey, and
WHEREAS: the current clothing line lacks the fit, style and personality of a young female body,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the PMHA executive and clothing committee investigate and create a line of “girls” clothing for our young female hockey players for the forthcoming season.

Resolution #2
WHEREAS: The Petrolia Minor Hockey Association has been experiencing a slight decline in membership over the last few years, and
WHEREAS: there is an expressed desire to increase public awareness and the public image of PMHA, and
WHEREAS: the organization ultimately needs numbers to fulfill teams,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the PMHA Executive administer a creative membership recruitment and advertising campaign for the forthcoming season.

Resolution #3
WHEREAS: The Petrolia Minor Hockey Association has a responsibility to provide leisure sport and recreational opportunities in our community, and
WHEREAS: the cost of hockey and association expenses continue to rise, and
WHEREAS: it becomes difficult for parents to afford this recreational sport, and
WHEREAS: some youth in our community miss the opportunity to experience this great recreational sport,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the PMHA Executive consider developing an initiative to assist families experiencing financial difficulties, when it comes to enrolling youth in this recreational sport.
