TRYOUT CRITERIA REMINDER
Hello parents,
With tryouts fast approaching it is always good to make sure we remind parents and players about try out requirements. These are nothing new but we just want to make sure all parents / players / coaches are clear on what the criteria is in order to be eligible to be selected for a team which has tryouts scheduled.
- Only players currently registered with PMHA are eligible for tryouts.
- Complete electronic try out forms and submit at least 24hrs prior to try outs. If you cannot complete online please have player or parent print off / complete and submit to coach prior to first try out
- It is expected that all players attend all scheduled tryout skates for their appropriate division. This is in keeping with OMHA/OHF policy that players must attend at least one division tryout skate, and preferably all division tryout skates.
- If an extraordinary situation exists (e.g. an injured player who cannot actively participate in tryouts) a discussion must take place with the player/parent, the coach, and the executive prior to the start of the first tryout, and a decision made on how to handle on a case by case basis.
