THE PMHA IS OFFERING BODY CHECKING CLINICS FOR U15 (2008 - 2009) ASWELL AS ANY U13 (2nd year - 2007) ATHLETES WHO WISH TO ATTEND.
*** TO BE CLEAR THIS CLINIC IS MANDATORY FOR ALL 1 st YEAR U15 PLAYERSWHO PLAN ON PLAYING REP OR AE. ALSO, IF YOU ARE HOPING TO AP TO AE FROMFOUR COUNTRIES YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE AS WELL. ***
Cost: FREE to all PMHA U15 PLAYERS & 2 nd YEAR U13 PLAYERS
When: Saturday August 27 th , 2022
Where: Gemini Sportsplex Arena, 667 Adair Blvd, Strathroy, ON N7G 3H8
Time: 9:00 – 10:00AM (U13 2 nd year and U15 1 st year) / 10:00 – 11:00AM (U15 2 nd year)
Body checking is an integral part of rep hockey starting at U15 (formerly Bantam)Groups for sessions will be decided on and scheduled by PMHA. We are trying to keep numbers in sessions even and limited to 20-22 skaters per session. This is to provide good one on one coaching and feedback for every player. By doing this they will feel confident with different types of contact after the session is completed and throughout the season.
The clinics will be put on by TPH – Total Package Hockey out of London, ON. The clinics are progression based and will be 60 mins in length to ensure more reps and the time to fully cover the progressions in body checking.
Cost: FREE to all PMHA U15 PLAYERS & 2 nd YEAR U13 PLAYERS
